Spam Filter - Configure E-Mail Client
Microsoft Outlook 2000-2003 Rules Configuration
Instructions (for Outlook 2003 - Outlook XP configuration is
similar, but locations may be different):
Start by going to the Tools menu,
Select Rules and Alerts (if this
does not appear in the Tools menu, expand the menu by clicking on the down
arrow at the bottom of the menu)

In the Rules and Alerts window, click
New Rule

In the Rules Wizard window, select Start
from a blank rule and click OK.

Under Step 1: Select Conditions, check
with specific words in the message header

Under Step 2: Edit the rule description, click on
specific words
(underlined in blue)

In the Search Text window, enter X-Spam-Flag:
YES (double-check for accuracy and capital
letters)

Back in the Rules Wizard window, click Next

Under Step 1: Select Actions, check
move it to the specified folder and
stop processing more rules

Under Step 2: Edit the rule description, click on
specified folder

Back in the Rules Wizard window
under Rule Description, click on
specified folder

Choose a folder where you want
spam e-mail to be filtered. If necessary, click New
and create a Junk E-mail folder as a subfolder in
your Inbox folder. This will allow you to
review all of your spam messages before deleting them. Click OK
once finished.

Click Finish to close the Rules Wizard, and then OK to
close the Rules and Alerts window
If Outlook is configured properly, all e-mails designated as spam by the
eMail2Pop Spam Filter will automatically be separated from non-spam e-mail and
moved into a designated Junk E-mail folder. You can then review the
flagged e-mails and delete them at any time.
